The Friday Game Night and AccessSports Weekly crew had a chance to catch up with Hall County Superintendent Will Schofield to discuss the county's athletic facility improvements over the summer.

In honor of the cool 1990s A&E show with the late Leonard Nimoy, “In Search of...,” Friday Game Night is asking what could be one of the more intriguing questions of the upcoming 2019 gridiron season: where are the next great batch of running backs in the northeast Georgia area hanging out this season?

Friday Game Night has searched high and low, roster after roster and compiled, with the help of the area’s head coaches, a solid list of players that fans should keep an eye on during the season.

The high school football season is set to kick off in just two days.

Five area teams will open the season ranked in the top-10 of the Georgia Sports Writers Association high school football poll.

Must-see doesn’t just apply to television or the movie theaters. If you are a high school football fan, there are more than enough upcoming games around the northeast Georgia area during the 2019 season to keep even the most ardent fans satisfied.

When area prep football fans in northeast Georgia last checked in November of last year, many were left wanting more as several high-profile teams were stunned in the early rounds of the playoffs.
