In case you were wondering, Northeast Georgia is full of football talent.

Last season, we correctly picked six region champions -- Buford, Gainesville, Jefferson, North Oconee, Dawson County and Rabun County -- and we also nailed 28 of the 32 playoff teams in our eight Northeast Georgia regions. Not bad if we do say so ourselves.

Gainesville traveled to Milton on Thursday for its final tune-up before the regular season kicks off next week.
