Commerce, Gainesville, and Lumpkin County all wrapped up region titles on Friday in what was a thrilling second-to-last week of the 2023 regular season.
Lumpkin County began playing football in 1961. The Indians are into their 63rd season of football in the Georgia High School Association. They have never hoisted a region title banner.
Not only is it the busiest week of the season in terms of number of games, but Week 11 may be the biggest week of the season with playoff fates hanging in the balance for a dozen teams in the northeast Georgia area.
Just like the other Games2Watch features this week, the Gainesville-North Forsyth showdown at Raider Valley on Friday has the potential to crown a region champ.
Now there are just two weeks left in the 2023 regular season, and several regions are building to what could be, and should be, some fantastic finishes.
