Embattled animal shelter to hold adoption event
The embattled Boggs Mountain Animal Shelter announced this week that it will close in October. Now, the challenge is finding homes for the animals that are housed at the shelter.

Warnings for Megabus operators after tire blowouts, including one in N. Ga.
A federal agency has issued an emergency bulletin to motorcoach companies about weight limits on tires following investigations into the deadly Megabus accident in Illinois and other crashes involving tire blowouts. One of those blowouts happened earlier this month on I-85 near Lavonia.
