Gainesville on track for another record-setting year for new home permits
The City of Gainesville is on track for another record-setting year for new single-family homes, according to data from the city Developmental Services Department. And, a report issued a few days ago notes that homebuilder sentiment across the country is at its highest level since 2005.

Detour to close Clarks Bridge Mon. for bridge construction
A detour will close Clarks Bridge north of Gainesville for a maximum of 10 days beginning Monday as crews finish building the new roadway tying it into the new bridge and shift traffic onto the new bridge.
