No. 10 Women's Basketball Falls to Lander, 87-81

Buford boys redeem themselves against Walnut Grove; Lady Wolves stay perfect with big win
Defense wins games and so does free throws. The Buford Wolves were pretty good at both in a 78-57 win over Region 8-5A foe Walnut Grove on Friday at Buford Arena. The Wolves lost at the Grove on Jan. 3, 51-45.

Hechavarría stays with Braves for $1 million, 1-year deal
Adeiny Hechavarría agreed to a $1 million, one-year contract to remain with the Braves, a move that boosted Atlanta's infield depth. The 30-year-old signed with the Braves on Aug. 16, two days after he was released by the New York Mets.
