Downtown pedestrian bridge construction approved
Gainesville City Manager Kip Padgett Tuesday morning announced that during its morning meeting the Redevelopment Authority approved construction of the long awaited pedestrian bridge to span Jesse Jewell Parkway at the Georgia Mountains Center,adding that Rodgers Bridge Building from Atlanta was awarded the $1.9-million construction contract.
