CLEVELAND - The Cleveland city council has just imposed a zoning moratorium. The council Tuesday night said they need to rework the city's zoning regulations and Mayor Don Stanley said the moratorium will give them an opportunity to do that.
The moratorium is effective immediately but Stanley said it will be short term, just enough time to make some changes to the regulations. The moratorium does not effect two current zoning issues that are in the progress including one that involves property that is being looked at by Chick-Fil-a.
The council is expected to begin looking at the zoning regulations with the city zoning board just after the first of the year.
