Driver injured after crashing into Cleveland building

CLEVELAND - The driver of a car that crashed into an apartment building on Campbell Street in Cleveland Monday was not seriously injured.

Cleveland Fire Chief Ricky Pruitt said units were dispatched to 1000 Campbell Street just before 7 p.m.

He said the driver thought they were pressing the brake but instead hit the gas pedal. The driver received only minor injuries, but the vehicle and building sustained major damage.
