White Co. boy injured when trailer door falls on him

CLEVELAND - A 12 year old from White County was seriously injured Tuesday night when a heavy utility trailer door fell on him.

Ana Newberry with the White County Fire Department said units were dispatched around 8:30 p.m. to T.S. Drive off Westmoreland Road.

She said it appears the cables that raise and lower the door on the box utility trailer broke or malfunctioned and dropped the door on the boy, who was taken by air ambulance to Scottish Rite Children Medical Center in Atlanta.

His condition remains unknown.
