Lanier Islands' early Christmas gift: by-the-carload admission to Magical Nights of Light

By For AccessWDUN
LANIER ISLANDS - Tick tock! As children count down the days to Christmas morning and their parents count down the number of shopping days remaining to fulfill holiday wish lists, a countdown of another sort is underway in Georgia… the days left to experience Magical Nights of Lights 2015 at Lanier Islands. Following a brief sabbatical in 2014, the celebrated light show is back and better than ever before as it celebrates its 22nd year as a beloved holiday tradition among Atlanta families. Comprised of millions of twinkling lights and dozens of dazzling animated light displays, the Magical Nights of Lights is a six-mile driving tour that winds throughout the scenic lakeside resort. In addition to a sensational light show, the seasonal attraction boasts a Live Nativity – presented by Crosspointe Church, Free Chapel and local nonprofit Happy Feat. The tour culminates in a visit to the Holiday Village where guests can visit with Santa Claus in his workshop and stroll through shops in search of tree trimmings and the ideal gift for that special someone on their Christmas list. While in the Village, visitors can also roast marshmallows and make s’mores at roaring firepits, dine on seasonal favorites at a collection of boardwalk stands and restaurants, and climb aboard classic rides at the Christmas Carnival*. To add to the allure, Lanier Islands is announcing a Christmas Carload Special – where guests will receive by-the-carload admission to the holiday light show for just $45 on Family Value Days and $65 on Peak Days.**  For local friends and families who wish to experience Magical Nights of Lights 2015, they’ll want to hurry before the switch is flicked to the off position after January 3, 2016.

New to Magical Nights of Lights this year is the release of an app designed to enhance the driving tour experience. Showcasing holiday music and stories that are synced to special trigger points along the drive, the Magical Nights of Lights App also provides visitors with great car game ideas, a map of the Islands, coupon offers and more. Lanier Islands encourages guests to download the app from Google Play or the App Store prior to their visit.

As sad as it is that all good things must come to an end, Lanier Islands fans will be buoyed by the fact that the resort has added an exciting seasonal attraction to its ever-growing lineup with the debut of the ALL NEW Winter Adventure. In addition to extending the winter-themed fun through February 15, 2016, this frosty fun-filled concept transforms the beach, boardwalk and waterpark at the Islands’ LanierWorld into a winter wonderland complete with snow play zones, speed slides with crash bag landings, an enchanting Bubble Skating Rink, a wild and wonderful game of Knockerball and so much more.

Coupons for Magical Nights of Lights and Winter Adventure are available online and at participating locations at the following partners: Chick-fil-A, Publix, Quick-Trip and Waffle House. As thanks for their service, U.S. military personnel (active duty and retired), and members of law enforcement and fire services will gain admittance to the Magical Nights of Lights and Winter Adventure at no charge.*** Members of their families**** will also receive free admission to the Magical Nights of Lights for the remainder of the season.
