Nightly lane closures are planned this week on parts of I-985 as work continues on the Georgia Express Lanes I-85 Extension.
The Georgia Department of Transportation says the work this week will entail the placement of concrete bridge beams and will take place nightly, Tueday-Friday, 9 p.m.-5 a.m.
"All lanes will be closed on I-985 northbound at the I-85/I-985 split," according to a news release. "Traffic traveling to I-985 will be detoured on I-85 to exit 115, then on SR-20 northbound until they reach I-985 at exit 4. Motorists traveling on I-985 southbound will not be effected by the closure and detour."
