The National Hurricane Center officially upgraded a tropical depression into Tropical storm Michael Sunday afternoon.
Tropical depression #14 became tropical storm Michael Sunday afternoon and Fox meteorologist Rick Reichmuth says, "We potentially could have a hurricane on our doorstep maybe sometime Wednesday around the panhandle of Florida."
Reichmuth says the exact path of the storm remains unclear but, he says there is, "...not much time to prepare. Not a big chance that it will become a very, very strong hurricane, but could be at a minimal hurricane."
Going by one of the current expected paths, we here in northeast Georgia could be in the outer bands of the storm by early morning Thursday, which would mean possibly heavy rain and wind.
As well, after the storm, forecasters say the temperatures will likely start to fall.
