Following two recent serious crimes in the area, the Gainesville Police Department has increased police patrols in the Park Hill Drive area.
A social media post on the department's Facebook page said both marked and unmarked vehicles will be working along the corridor.
On Tuesday of this week, two armed men robbed the Texaco gas station and convenience store on Park Hill Drive. Investigators are still looking for the suspects.
On Thursday, Feb. 7, a Gainesville businessman was shot and killed in the parking lot of the CVS Pharmacy on Park Hill Drive at Enota Ave. A suspect from East Point was arrested for that crime.
