The Gainesville City School System was recently awarded the 2020 Georgia School Boards Association Leading Edge Award in recognition of Gainesville High School’s student success center, “The Hub.”
The Leading Edge Award recognizes innovative practices by governance teams and school districts around the state and highlights school districts that implement special or unique projects and programs. The Hub, which assists in providing resources and services directly impacting students, families and communities within Gainesville and Hall County, was recognized for having a positive impact on students’ achievement and school engagement.
“The Board and I are honored to be one of the 2020 GSBA Leading Edge Award recipients,” GCSS Superintendent Jeremy Williams said in a news release. “The collective effort of our team and the numerous community partners, primarily driven by the Northeast Georgia Health System and the Medical Center Foundation, speaks to the rallying support of Gainesville-Hall County.”
