North Forsyth swept into the second round, Jackson County was swept out, and Buford will go to a deciding Game 3 on Monday as the Georgia High School Association baseball playoffs continue.
All series in the first round are best-of-three formats at the site of the higher-seeded team.
Buford split with Peachtree Ridge in Class 7A on Saturday and will try to keep its season going at Gerald McQuaig Field. Meanwhile, Classes 5A through 2A will begin their playoff quests on Monday.
Jefferson and Flowery Branch both will hit the road in Class 5A with a pair of tough first round matchups. The Falcons head to unranked Woodland-Cartersville while the ninth-ranked Dragons will face off against No. 1-ranked Cartersville.
A trio of teams In Class 4A will get under way. Cherokee Bluff will play host to Heritage-Catoosa while North Hall heads to No. 6 Cedartown. East Forsyth also hits the road against eighth-ranked Sonoraville.
Lumpkin County and Dawson County will be on the road in Class 3A. The Tigers travel to No. 6 Franklin County while the Indians head to Oconee County.
Banks County in Class 2A will be at home playing host to Rockmart.
Class A Division 1 and Class A Division 2 will get started until Thursday.
