By AccessWDUN Staff

CHICAGO — Reese Olson gave a glimpse of what could be a promising future Friday night.

The former North Hall standout made his Major League debut for the Detroit Tigers, taking on the Chicago White Sox. The right-hander went five innings, scattering just two hits and one walk while fanning six. He went to the sixth in a score less tie.

However, Romy González singled to left to open the sixth for the White Sox and then moved to third on a Tim Anderson single. Olson was then replaced by Will Vest after throwing 89 pitches -- 58 for strikes. Vest then gave up RBI singles to Andrew Benintendi and Eloy Jimenez, with both runs charged to Olson.

Olson took the loss despite the solid showing as the White Sox went on for a 3-0 win.
