RUMFORD, R.I. — Bartley Forrester made the cut at the 61st Northeast Amateur Invitational on Friday at Wannamoisett Country Club.

The former North Hall and current Georgia Tech standout fired a 1-over 70 to finish at 2-under after Friday’s third round.

After four pars to open his third round, Forrester triple-bogeyed the Par 4 5th and then double-bogeyed the sixth to drop to 2-over for the tournament. But he would rally to birdie five of his last 12 holes to get to 2-under overall.

Forrester sits tied for 11th but is 10 shots off the lead heading into Saturday’s final round.
