Indians sign Mark Wohlers

CLEVELAND - Mark Wohlers, who pitched in 31 games for the New York Yankees last season, agreed Wednesday to a two-year contract with the Cleveland Indians. <br> <br> Wohlers, 31, is expected to be used in a setup role by the Indians, who recently traded John Rocker to Texas and will use several young pitchers out of the bullpen next season. <br> <br> The right-handed Wohlers was an All-Star for Atlanta in 1996 and has also played for Cincinnati in his 11-year career. Wohlers went 1-0 with a 4.54 ERA last season after being traded to the Yankees on June 30. <br> <br> He began last season with the Reds and was 3-1 with a 3.94 ERA in 30 appearances. <br> <br> In 1995, Wohlers got the save in the Game 6 of the World Series when the Braves beat the Indians and won the title. <br> <br> The deal includes a club option for 2004. <br> <br> <br>
