ATLANTA - Injured forward Chris Crawford has been activated by the Atlanta Hawks so they can keep their active roster at the NBA minimum of 11.

The Hawks - who play host to Portland Tuesday night at Philips Arena - waived forwards Mark Strickland and Reggie Slater Monday. Then, they activated Crawford, who has a torn anterior cruciate ligament and is unable to play.

That leaves Alan Henderson and Theo Ratliff on the injured list.

Team spokesman Arthur Triche says Ratliff is expected to return this weekend. Ratliff - who has missed 30 games following hip surgery - was in practice Monday.
