The previous record for fewest points in a half was eight, by Liberty against Radford Jan. 27, 2001, and by Prairie View against LSU Dec. 22, 2001. Georgia jumped out to a 31-2 lead and was ahead 59-7 at halftime.
``I had some games like this in high school,'' said Braxton, who was 8-of-9 from the field. Her only missed shot was a dunk attempt on a breakaway late in the first half.
``I slowed down in the paint,'' she said. ``You will get a dunk. Don't you worry about it.''
Tawana Thomas scored 12 points for Morris Brown (2-10), which is in its first Division I-A season and is coached by Saudia Roundtree, national player of the year at Georgia in 1996.
``It is a good learning experience each time we can play a Division I team like Georgia,'' Roundtree said. ``The odds were against us, but the kids played hard.''
Jessica Pierce and Tameiko Washington scored 12 apiece for the Lady Bulldogs (12-1). The win was the 53rd straight for Georgia against in-state rivals, dating to a loss to Georgia State in 1982.
``I thought we played as hard at the end of the game as we did at the beginning,'' Georgia coach Andy Landers said.
Georgia scored the first eight points before a basket by Morris Brown's Tawana Thomas with 16:37 to play. Thomas scored Georgia's next points - 10 minutes and 23 Georgia points later. She also had the Lady Wolverines' third and last basket of the half with less than a minute to play, following another 24 straight Georgia points.
In the second half, Georgia led 97-19 after Katie Frye's bucket with 5:15 to play.
