Hall explosion similar to one in Morrow

GAINESVILLE - Authorities say that four years ago in Morrow, an incident similar to the one involving a propane tank that killed three siblings in west Gainesville Monday night, killed four people.

Investigators say Monday's explosion and fire was probably caused by a leaking 100-pound propane tank in the basement of a house on Springdale Forest Circle.

Hall County Fire Marshal David Kimbrell says the blast apprarently occurred while the tank was being reinstalled.

The propane tank involved in the 1998 explosion in Morrow was a 20-pound device.
