Weekend fire causes $5,000 damage

GAINESVILLE - Hall County firemen said Monday a weekend fire on Lula Road caused about $5,000 damage to the home of Shane Peck.

Fire chief Mike Satterfield says no one was injured in the fire, which occurred early Saturday morning. He says the fire was contained to some insulation around a wood stove flu.

Satterfield said the fire had been ignited by the "flu pipe."
