School uniforms, name on school board agenda

GAINESVILLE - School uniforms and the name for a new school are among the items on the agenda for Monday's Hall County school board work session.

The board is schedule to again tackle the sticky issue of naming the new elementary school that is being built off Athens Highway south of Gainesville.

Sugar Hill Elementary is the name preferred by many who live in that area - the Sugar Hill community. But, a Name That School Committee suggested Harmony Elementary - much to the chagrin of many who live near the site.

Also on the board's agenda is a discussion of school uniforms for students at McEver Elementary and West Hall Middle schools.
