GAINESVILLE - Free screenings for oral, breast, prostate, colon, and skin cancer will take place in Gainesville and Toccoa April 27 as part of a statewide campaign in 19 locations.

Brenda Horne, Executive Director of the Georgia Cancer Foundation, says "last year, Gainesville was our busiest (site). We saw 83 people there last year in a four-hour period."

Horne says doctors in each of the communities are donating their time and space for the screenings - in Gainesville at 200 South Enota and in Toccoa on Sauls Road.

Registration is requested by calling 770-396-7995 or 1-888-441-CURE or online at www.gacancerfoundation.org.
