It's the first time this system has been used in Hall County, and, Anne Phillips says some people are still not sure it's for real.
"Every now and then, we'll have someone walk in (and ask) 'can I really vote now?'."
Advance balloting allows voters to vote up to five days before election day - regardless of the reason.
Phillips says through Wednesday more than one-hundred ballots had been cast for the Gainesville election alone.
"There's a lot of people who just don't want to take the time to go to the polls, (so) they can stop by here and vote quickly," she added.
Phillips says early voting should really be popular next year which is a presidential election year.
"Next year, when we have a big election and a bigger turnout, I expect to see quite a few more people in here (voting early)."
Early voting is also taking place in Lula, Clermont, and Flowery Branch this week.
