GAINESVILLE - Marketplace 2003, the annual fund-raiser for the Northeast Georgia Medical Center Auxiliary, which has become a holiday tradition in Gainesville, raised a record amount of money this year.
The event, which is held in early November, took in $51,895 this year.
This was the twelfth year for Marketplace - which benefits the Lifeline program for elderly and disabled people throughout a 13-county northeast Georgia area.
