Fire Marshal David Kimbrell says the call came in about 2:00. It was orginally dispatched as a burglary call, but when sheriff's deputies arrived, they saw smoke come from the building and called the fire department.
Kimbrell says "heavy flames" were showing when the first units arrived.
Kimbrell says about 40 firefighters were on the scene at the height of the battle to control the fire. And, some were on the scene until just before 6:00. Cause of the fire has not been determined.
Almost exactly a year ago - on December 4 - a fire at Timco damaged some pallets outside the building. That fire never reached the building.
