GAINESVILLE - Officers of Lawson Air Conditioning & Plumbing announce the acquisition of Wallace Sheet Metal Works of Gainesville.

Vince Davis, Jeff Dale and Debbie L. Davis acquired the Gainesville-based sheet metal design and fabrication business, which was founded in 1894 by Will Wallace, and since 1954, operated by the Pendergrass family.

"Our acquisition of Wallace will enhance our 56-year heritage of quality air conditioning, plumbing and process piping," said Lawson's CFO, Debbie L. Davis. "The Wallace reputation is outstanding as they've served customers in the area of custom sheet metal fabrication. We believe it is a natural extension of our business services."

Located two doors away from the Lawson Air headquarters on Dorsey Street in southwest Gainesville, Wallace serves individuals, general contractors and institutional customers throughout northeast Georgia.

H. P. "Butch" Walker is the new sales manager. "Anything made of metal -- if you can draw it, we can create it," says Walker.
