Kit Dunlap, president and CEO of the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce, who is a member of the planning district, says the meeting will be held July 10 at 5:30 at the mountains center.
"And, all the plans on wastewater, watershed, and so on will be up for public comment," Dunlap said.
The group is considering a District-wide Watershed Long-Term Wastewater, and Water Supply and Water Conservation management plans.
The Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning Disttrict was created to develop plans, policies and local model ordinances to protect water quality and public water supplies, protect recreational values of rivers and lakes and minimize the adverse impacts of development of waters in an downstream of the 16-county District area. The counties that are included are: Bartow, Cherokee, Calyton, Clobb, Coweta, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton, Forsyth, Gwinnett, Hall, Henry, Paulding, Rockdale, and Walton.
