Uniformity coming to Buford sixth-graders

BUFORD - School uniforms are coming to the Buford City School System.<br> <br> Sixth-graders in the Buford City School System will have to wear uniforms when they return to school in the fall. Uniforms for seventh-graders will be optional under a plan approved recently by the school board. <br> <br> The board, which voted unanimously to adopt the uniforms, acted on a recommendation from a committee of three staff members. This is the first move school uniforms for the for the 2,300-student system system.<br> <br> Letters were to go out a few days ago informing parents of the decision.<br> <br> Students will be able to polo shirts of white, kelly green, gold and black. They will be able to wear khaki pants, shorts or skorts, khaki skirts, white tennis shoes, loafers and bucks.
