Maysville OKs Mar-Jac feed mill

MAYSVILLE - Mar-Jac, which has been searching for a home for its new feed mill for a couple of years, may have finally found a place for it in the Jackson County town of Maysville.

The Maysville City Council this week okayed the annexation and rezoning of a 43-acre site on highway 98 where the Gainesville-based company wants to locate the complex.

Mar-Jac's choices elsewhere in Jackson County, in Lula, and in Hall County near Lula had been rejected in the face of overwhelming opposition from people living near the potential sites.

There was opposition in Maysville as well.
