Winder looks to stay unbeaten in Region 8-AAAA

WINDER - The Winder-Barrow football team looks to stay unbeaten when it plays host to Region 8-AAAA foe Heritage Friday night.<br> <br> The Bulldoggs (3-0, 3-0 in region) are averaging 29 points a game so far but had to hold off Salem last week in a tight 31-28 win.<br> <br> Heritage (2-1, 2-1) beat Loganville 16-3 last week. The Patriots have allowed just 17 total points the last two games.<br> <br> In other Region 8-AAAA action, Jackson County will travel to Eastside-Covington in a battle of winless teams. The Panthers (0-2, 0-2) have scored just 20 points in their first two games. Eastside (0-2, 0-2) has scored just 14 points.<br> <br> Cedar Shoals plays host to Loganville. The Jaguars (2-0, 2-0) have allowed just three total points in wins over Rockdale County and Habersham Central while averaging 25 points a game. Loganville (1-1, 1-1) is coming off its loss to Heritage after beating Habersham two weeks ago.<br> <br> Clarke Central will travel to Conyers to play Rockdale County. The Gladiators (2-0, 2-0) beat Jackson County 24-14 last week. Rockdale (0-1, 0-1) has not played since a season-opening loss to Cedar Shoals two weeks ago.<br> <br> Salem plays host to Newton in the other region game. Habersham is off this week.
