Lady Trojans stay perfect in Region 7-AAA play

MURRAYVILLE - The ninth-ranked North Hall Lady Trojants softball team stayed unbeaten in Region 7-AAA play Tuesday with a 10-0 whipping of Gilmer County.<br>

The game was called after five innings because of the mercy rule.<br>
<br>
North Hall (15-4, 3-0 in region) next will travel to East Hall.<br>
<br>
Amber Belton, Lindsey Kitchens and Brooke Smith each had two hits to lead the lady Trojans.<br>
<br>
- In other Region 7-AAA action, East Hall beat Fannin County 5-4. Flowery Branch lost another close game, 2-0, to Pickens. No. 3 Chestatee beat No. 9 West Hall, 7-4.<br>
<br>
- In other area action, Buford won its first Region 8-AA game with a 7-1 win over Wesleyan.
