Scam artists reported in Toccoa area

TOCCOA - The Stephens County Sheriff&#39;s Office is warning northeast Georgians of a scam that has been operating in the Toccoa area.<br> <br> Sheriff Gene Sorrells says two men usually approach a house on the pretense of selling carpet or linoleum.<br> <br> Once inside, one distracts the occupant while the other rifles through the his or her personal belongings.<br> <br> The pair were last seen driving a light-colored pickup with a tank-like device in the bed.
