"Kubota wishes to fund an endowed scholarship that will target applicants, who are not eligible for the HOPE Grant or other traditional financial aid funds, including qualified foreign born residents," said Moriya Hayashi. "Kubota Manufacturing of America views this as an opportunity to recognize the contributions Lanier Technical College has made to the growth of our company during the past 15 years."
"This is another example of the tremendous partnership enjoyed by our company and the college. KMA pledges support for the efforts made by Lanier Technical College to provide workforce development for northeast Georgia," said John Shiraishi.
The announcement was made at a ceremony Tuesday morning at Lanier Tech.
"We are honored and very pleased to have been a training partner with Kubota for the past 15 years," said Dr. Mike Moye, president of Lanier Technical College. "The college has certainly been fortunate to have been chosen by Kubota to provide educational experiences for hundreds of its employees.
