Beginning at 11:00, the St. Michael's Youth Group and the Newtown Florist Club will sponsor the 7th Annual March for Peace. The march will culminate at the Arts Council Depot with entertainment, speeches, etc.
Saturday afternoon, Main Street Gainesville's 10th Annual Trick-or-Treat-on-the-Square will take place between 3:00-5:00.
Organizers say more than a ton of candy will be given away by nearly 40 participating businesses to youngsters who go store-to-store.
Other activities will include a moonwalk and train ride.
