North Georgians greeted by coldest weather of the season

UNDATED - The coldest weather of the season settled over North Georgia Monday morning.

Temperatures were at or near freezing in most places at daybreak, around 7:00.

It was 33 in Gainesville; 34 in Jefferson and Toccoa; 32 in Cornelia; and, 30 in Clayton and Blue Ridge.

A freeze warning had been issued Sunday for 18 counties in Georgia for Sunday night and Monday morning - the first of the fall for a number of them, including Hall.
