Owners seek halt to Hall land condemnation case

GAINESVILLE - The targets of the Union Church Road land condemnation controversy involving the Hall County Commission have gone to court in hopes of stopping the condemnation.

In a brief filed Tuesday in Hall County Superior Court, Eleanor Brazell, Elizabeth Brazell Tate, and Vintage Communities, Inc., say the county "cannot comply with the requirement that the condemnation hearing take place no less than ten days" from the date the order was served.

A hearing on the motion is scheduled Thursday. The condemnation hearing is scheduled next Monday.
