Big Creek Park, which is off Holiday Road, will be closed from Monday through March 12.
Mark Williams of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers said the action is necessary because of road work and the construction of a new entry at the park.
Big Creek is one of 48 parks on Lake Lanier operated by the Corps. It attracts more than 150,000 people each year and is a popular boat launching site near Holiday Marina and Lake Lanier Islands.
