State officials to honor Cabbage Patch Kid creator

ATLANTA - During the annual Tourism Day at the Georgia Capitol Thursday, Xavier Roberts, the creator of the Cabbage Patch Kids, will be honored.<br> <br> Governor Perdue, State Senator Carol Jackson of Cleveland, and the deputy commmissioner of the Georgia Department of Industry, Trade, and Tourism are among those who will participate int he ceremony.<br> <br> Jackson will present a resolution on the Senate floor to honor Roberts for his contributions to tourism and economic development in Georgia.<br> <br> There will also be a presentation announcing the Regional Tourism Cabbage Patch Kid Ambassador babies.
