Gainesville GDOT office has new Construction Engineer

GAINESVILLE - Sandy Moore of Hartwell has been named District Construction Engineer for the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) office in Gainesville.

Moore will be responsible for all GDOT construction projects throughout the 21-county area that makes up the Gainesville district office. He will supervise more than 100 people and manage an average of 300 construction projects each year with an annual cost of approximately $370 million.

He will replace Russell McMurry, who was named District PRE-Construction Engineer in December.
