The participants met at the Chattahoochee Golf Course for their final class which also included brief golf lessons, dinner, and a question-and-answer session with the Gainesville City Council.
City officials described the class as a "very good mix" of the community.
The citizens' academy affords qualifying residents of Gainesville the chance to learn "up close and personal" about the operations of city government.
