Deputy U.S. Education Secretary visits Gainesville

GAINESVILLE - Gainesville Elementary School played host Monday to Deputy U.S. Education Secretary Maria Ferrier.
School officials say Ferrier visited the one-year-old school because of the number of Hispanic students who attend the school and the success they are showing in improvng their test scores.
The school is 70 percent Hispanic.
