Nearly 50 Hall County residents are included in Brenau University's incoming class of almost 200 first-year students who begin moving in for the Fall Semester this weekend.

This year's class of 195 students includes 40 from Hall County.

The class has an average SAT score of 1,050.

Among those from the Gainesville area who will be attending Brenau's Women's College are:

*Jenny Dunn, a Buford High School graduation, who ranked third in her class of 124 students. She is a Brenau Scholar with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.6.

*Jordan Jones, who graduated with a 4.0 GPA at East Hall and served as valedictorian.

*Taylor Woods, who as a child lived in Georgia. Her father was transferred to California and Taylor completed all four years of high school there. She had even settled on a west coast College. This spring her father got word that he was being transferred back to Georgia. Taylor wanted to come, too, and decided to enroll at Brenau. Taylor had a high school 4.32 GPA and has been named a Brenau Scholar.

*Sheena Young, a Gainesville High School graduate, has a 3.91 GPA.

The weekend will also mark the start of a week of orientation during which the new students meet their advisers, register for classes, meet roommates and begin to adjust to college life.
