Lt. Ken Nix of the sheriff's department said there are "numerous reports" of trees across roads and powerlines, countywide. Lt. Nix said, as of 4:30, there had been at least 15 reports of downed trees. One tree was on a house on Benefield Road.
But, at that time, there had been no reports of traffic accidents, weather-related or otherwise.
Nix also said there have been no reports of any injuries associated with the downed trees, and none of those that fell across roads hit cars or trucks.
Winds associated with the storm roared into the area Monday, but the rains did not arrive until early Tuesday.
