Habersham businessman, civic leader dies

CLARKESVILLE - The funeral for well-known Habersham County businessman and civic leader Marion Winters Stribling will be held Thursday. <br> <br> Stribling, 90, was the retired president of Habersham Mills. He served in that capacity for 16 years until his retirement in 1981, capping a 20-year career with the company.<br> <br> Stribling was also a former president of three state and national textile manufacturing groups, a former chairman of the Habersham County Medical Center Board of Directors, a former member of the Habersham County Historical Society and a former member of the Young Harris College Board of Trustees.<br> <br> Stribling, who lived in Clarkesville, died Monday following a lengthy illness.<br> <br> The funeral will be Thursday at 11:00 at Clarkesville United Methodist Church.<br> <br> (A complete obituary is listed elsewhere on this page under Obituaries.)
