More than 200,000 people are expected for the two-day event which celebrates the 1828 discovery of gold in Lumpkin County.
At least 300 arts and craft exhibitors will set up shop on the square in Dahlonega and in the town's historic district.
Included in the two day event are a 5K road race, children's activities, a fashion show, gold panning contest, wheelbarrow race, King and Queen Coronation, hog calling, a buck dance contest, gospel singing, wrist wrestling and more.
