MARTINEZ - The death last summer of a 14-year-old Augusta area girl - the granddaughter of a Hall County couple - was caused by an enlarged heart.

Chelsea Collins, the granddaughter of Betty Ann and Eddie Chambers of Gainesville, died August 22 after telling her teacher that she did feel well as she walked on the track at Lakeside High School in Martinez.

Columbia County Deputy Coroner Vernon Collins, who was not related to the teen, said at the time that an autopsy found no conclusive cause of death. But, reports over the weekend, quoting his final report, blamed an enlarged heart.
