Tax rate set to go down in Cornelia

CORNELIA - The tax rate in Cornelia is going down but the garbage pickup fee is increasing.
The Cornelia City commission voted unanimously to approve a millage rate of 7.9 mills while increasing the solid waste fee.
The new garbage pickup fee will be $15 a month starting next year.
